Hello. I'm Brian Mattock, Chair of the Old Town Festival and I am delighted to welcome you to our website.
 All members of the Festival committee, whose names appear elsewhere on the website are working hard to deliver a full programme of entertainment, building on the achievements of previous years. Our motto is “For the community, by the community” and our aim is to provide enjoyment and entertainment for the whole community and to promote business interests particularly within the Old Town area. As a committee, we could not generate the resources to stage the Festival without the support of our sponsors. I would therefore like to thank all those business organisations and individuals who so generously provide sponsorship in its many forms. My particular thanks go to the Chair and members of the Old Town Business and Professional Association for their help and involvement. My thanks also to every member of the committee, without their time and dedication the Old Town Festival would not happen. If you are happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in we need you! .... from picking up litter, to erecting marquees, running bars, manning the Festival office, setting up venues, etc. Not much glory and pretty exhausting, but great fun! Do come along and support the various events that will be taking place for your enjoyment, there will be a packed schedule of events with something of interest for everyone Our detailed programme will be available early in June 2008, so do look out for it and mark the events in your diary. Finally, my thanks to you for accessing our website and I look forward to seeing you during the course of the Festival.
